TQ DFV Sector Engagement Worker

Location: Brisbane or Regional Office options

The Role

This position is a Part time. The worker will be located in one of Tenants Queensland offices either in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville or Rockhampton (dependant on the successful applicant), some travel may be required.

The role is to engage and inform DFV Sector about the DFV Sector Capacity Building Project, with some focus on services working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders experiencing DFV and to advise TQ on culturally appropriate service delivery.

You will have a strong commitment to the principles of social justice; ability to network, link with and relate to people from different cultural backgrounds including people with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage. Good conceptual, analytical and organisation skills and highly developed verbal and written communication skills including computer literacy and data entry skills.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The TQ QSTARS HUB Tenant Advice Worker (part time) plays a critical role in the delivery of expert, accurate and consistent tenancy advice to residential renters.

You will be a part of the statewide HUB contact centre team supported by the HUB Coordinator and statewide training officer. The HUB contact centre aims to empower and support tenants and residents by providing high quality advice regarding tenancy law related issues and triaging matters to QSTARS regional offices and external referral services.
